Following the acquisition of MediSpan, First DataBank is now able to provide the pharmaceutical fee information that was required under the Connecticut Practitioner Fee Schedule. At the time of the acquisition, we designated Drug Topics® Red Book® as the official pharmaceutical fee schedule. Because both fee schedules are available and many users continue to use First DataBank in their systems, we will authorize the use of either of these sources when paying a pharmaceutical claim under the Workers’ Compensation System.
