WCC 1999 CPT Codes Memorandum - February 9, 1999

MEMORANDUM NO. 99-01

TO: Commissioners, District Administrators, Self-Insureds, Insurance Carriers, Medical Practitioners, Attorneys, Unions, and Advisory Board Members
FROM: Jesse M. Frankl, Chairman
DATE: February 9, 1999
RE: 1999 CPT Codes - Official Connecticut Practitioner Fee Schedule

Based on the current billing guidelines of the Workers’ Compensation Commission, we will adopt the 1999 CPT codes effective April 1, 1999 except where the current guidelines provide directions that supersede CPT. Among the many prominent areas that will not change are the use of level 2, 3 and 4 office visits for reimbursement purposes and the use of Q0103 for the initial evaluation for physical medicine.

Where the provider and the payer continue to be unable to resolve differences based on the Billing Guidelines, we will continue to try to resolve them on an individual basis.
