A meeting of the Workers’ Compensation Advisory Board was held on Monday, February 4, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Office of the Chairman, 21 Oak Street, 4th Floor, Hartford, CT.

A regular meeting of the Workers’ Compensation Commission Advisory Board was held on February 4, 2013 in the Workers’ Compensation Commission’s CRB Hearing Room, 21 Oak Street, Hartford, Connecticut.

The meeting convened at 10:05 a.m. with the following Board Members present: Chairman Gardner Wright, Rocco Calo, Michael Dimenstein, Daniel Krause, and Gregory Nokes. Also attending were Chairman John Mastropietro, Marvin Smernoff and Michael Petosa of WCC, and Laura Cummings of CBIA.

1. Opening Remarks
1. Chairman Gardner Wright welcomed the group.
2. Chairman Mastropietro’s Update
1. Chairman Mastropietro discussed legislation currently pending on the Newtown tragedy, gun control, and Governor Malloy’s upcoming budget presentation.
2. Chairman Mastropietro announced that the seven Commissioners which the Advisory Board supported for renomination passed through the Judiciary Committee on February 1, 2013. Final approval by the House and Senate will occur shortly. Nominees are Commissioner Randy Lynn Cohen, Commissioner Daniel E. Dilzer, Commissioner Christine L. Engel, Commissioner Jodi Murray Gregg, Commissioner Stephen M. Morelli, Commissioner David W. Schoolcraft, and Commissioner Michelle D. Truglia.
3. Adjournment
1. A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Greg Nokes and seconded by Rocco Calo. The Motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 10:50 a.m.
2. The next regular meeting will be held on March 11, 2013.
