Minutes A regular meeting of the Workers’ Compensation Commission Advisory Board was held on May 4, 2009, in the Workers’ Compensation Commission’s CRB Hearing Room, 21 Oak Street, Hartford, Connecticut. The meeting convened at 10:00 a.m. with the following Board Members present: Chairman Gardner Wright, presiding; Benedict Cozzi; Marvin Morganbesser, Linda Passanisi, and William Ridolfi. Also present were Chairman John Mastropietro and Marvin Smernoff of the Workers’ Compensation Commission; and Kia Murrell, William Clark, Pamela Puchalski and William Lawler. Chairman Mastropietro provided a budgetary update discussing the impact of the state’s financial crisis on the Commission. He reported on the status of the Pain Management Protocol project with the University of Connecticut Health Center, the Payor-Provider Task Force, and the Practitioner Fee Schedule. He discussed two policy-related issues: the removal of social security numbers from the Commission’s forms and a delayed opening policy due to inclement weather. Brief discussion was held concerning pending legislation that may impact the Workers’ Compensation Commission. A motion to adjourn was made by Marvin Morganbesser at 11:25 a.m. The motion was seconded by William Ridolfi. The motion to adjourn was unanimously accepted. The next meeting will be held on June 22, 2009. |
