Sec. 31-289b. Civil action to enjoin noncomplying employer from conducting business in the state. Whenever an employer wilfully fails to comply with the requirements of this chapter, the Attorney General may bring a civil action in the superior court for the judicial district of Hartford-New Britain1 *to enjoin the employer from conducting business in this state until the employer fully complies with the requirements of this chapter.

History: P.A. 93-228 effective July 1, 1993. (Note: P.A. 88-230, P.A. 90-98 and P.A. 93-142 authorized substitution of "judicial district of Hartford" for "judicial district of Hartford-New Britain" in public acts of the 1993 session of the general assembly, to take effect September 1, 1996; P.A. 95-220 changed the effective date of P.A. 88-230 from September 1, 1996, to September 1, 1998, effective July 1, 1995; P.A. 96-267 deleted the word "repeatedly" which modified "fails to comply".
