Sec. 19a-190. (Formerly Sec. 19-73ll). Municipal contracts with volunteer ambulance companies. Residence requirements. The legislative body of any municipality may enter into, and approve the terms of, a contract with any volunteer ambulance company for the performance of volunteer ambulance duties by its members. The provisions of sections 19a-191 and 19a-192 shall not apply to any active member unless the volunteer ambulance company for which he performs or offers to perform volunteer ambulance duties has a contract with the municipality in which the service is performed.
(P.A. 75-102, S. 2; P.A. 77-502, S. 2.)
History: P.A. 77-502 referred to contracts with municipalities in which "the service is performed" rather than in which "the person being served resides"; Sec. 19-73ll transferred to Sec. 19a-190 in 1983.
